Meredith brings 15 years of senior level public sector leadership experience to The Trust, helping organizations and the people who lead them become more effective at furthering their missions. Her career highlights include serving in the office of a U.S. Senator, two Governor’s administrations and for a former President’s international organization. She has led state and local nonprofit advocacy efforts in Tennessee and 20 other states. Meredith is joining us from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, where she served as Chief of Staff and Assistant Commissioner for External Affairs. She is also a consultant and trainer for the Center for Nonprofit Management in advocacy, board development and strategic planning.
She is pursuing an Ed.D in Organizational Leadership at Lipscomb, and earned a Master’s in Public Administration & International Management from the Middlebury Institute for International Studies. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pepperdine University with a B.A. in International Studies & Intercultural Communication, where she was named the most outstanding student in her major.
As the Senior Program Officer, Meredith will assume Kristen’s former responsibilities, which include leading the program team and directly managing the adverse childhood experiences and substance abuse grant programs. Meredith is an avid traveler, having stepped foot on every continent before her 30th birthday, & an avid hiker, completing treks in Peru, New Zealand, Spain, & the U.S. She will join the team on October 19 and we look forward to introducing her to you in the weeks that follow.
