More than 260 federal programs base their state allocations on census numbers and use this data to plan for transportation, infrastructure, schools, healthcare and more. It is estimated that Tennessee will lose as much as $2,600 per person per year in federal dollars for each uncounted resident in the 2020 census. Please help us spread the word about the importance of completing the census. To make it easier for you, we have compiled easy-to-share resources that you can use to help spread the word.
We have also joined other funders in creating a pooled fund to support agencies that are providing outreach, education, and navigation assistance related to the census.
