Meditation Videos

When was the last time you, as a caregiver, took time to wander aimlessly or to observe the wonder and mystery that surrounds us? It seems as caregivers we rarely afford ourselves the gift of self-care and healing. Our hope is that these Healing Meditations will create such a space for you, a space for healing and respite, if only for a few moments in your work and life.

Maya Angelou once noted each of us needs to withdraw “from the cares which will not withdraw from us. We need hours of aimless wandering…observing the mysterious world of ants and the canopy of treetops.” Through a beautiful balance of familiar surroundings and the sounds of nature coupled with music, you are invited into a place of healing of the whole self – body, mind, and spirit. In those moments when our work and our lives may feel overwhelming or discouraging, as Thoreau once said, “nature is always encouraging.” There is something magical about sitting by streams of living water or watching the still surface of a nearby lake that wonderfully renews a weary spirit.

The Baptist Healing Trust hopes these images and music will offer rest and renewal for you. The imagery of these videos, directed and edited by Van Grafton, was filmed across Middle Tennessee. The music, composed and played by Rollie Mains, is intended to be refreshing and mindful. We offer these Healing Mediations to you with gratitude for you and the work you do. Grace and peace to you, as you continue to serve with great compassion and great care in all you do.
