YWCA of Middle Tennessee
The mission of the YWCA is to develop and sustain community-wide efforts that impact core social issues: poverty, oppression, violence, especially as they relate to the health and well-being of women and girls. The YWCA addresses this mission through three programs: Job Readiness and Career Development, Youth @ Work and the Domestic Violence Center. This grant will promote the healing of approximately 350 adult domestic violence victims per year at the YWCA shelter by providing increased access to on-site, therapeutic services. The number of individual therapeutic services provided to women in shelter who are recovering from addiction will increase by 100% as will the number of group therapeutic services available to women in shelter.
