 The YMCA of Middle Tennessee began in 1855 and has as its mission a worldwide charitable fellowship united by a common loyalty to Jesus Christ for the purpose of helping persons grow in spirit, mind and body. The grant requested in this application will be used to fund salaries, benefits, travel, camp supplies and professional development for the Full Circle program for children with developmental disabilities. By the end of the grant year, at least 105 out of 140 (75%) of the individuals who have fully participated in at least 4 weeks of programming will meet the National Association of Sports and Physical Education (NASPE) Standard 1 Benchmark for swimming and sports leagues. By the end of the grant year, at least 105 out of 140 (75%) of the individuals who have fully participated in at least 4 weeks of programming will meet the NASPE Standard 4 Benchmark by sustaining moderate to vigorous levels of physical activity that causes increased heart rate, breathing rate, perspiration, etc. (e.g. running, jumping, skipping, kicking,) for at least 30 minutes 3x/week.
