Williamson County CASA is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1993. Its mission is to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the court system. Its vision is "every child in a safe and permanent home". The grant requested will be used to fund the salary and payroll benefits for the full-time CASA Advocate Director.  14 out of 15 (93%) new volunteers who complete the CASA training requirements will be matched with an abused or neglected child within three months of being sworn in and will act as that child's advocate in Juvenile Court, giving the child a voice in his or her future.  The Judge will accept the CASA closing recommendations for needed services and permanent placement in 175 out of 200 (88%) cases to which CASA has been appointed, decreasing the likelihood that the child will re-enter the child welfare system. 90 out of 100 (90%) CASA children will continue to remain in safe and permanent homes 6 months after case closure, increasing the likelihood that the child will become a fulfilled, happy adult.
