Welcome Home Ministries
Welcome Home Ministries, a faith-based alcohol and drug recovery support program, was established in 1992. Its mission is "To enter worlds of brokenness in order that all might experience wholeness in Jesus Christ." The grant requested in this application will be used to fund a portion of salary & benefits, advertising & education, materials for dissemination, Lab/pathology, travel (transportation to physician appointments, employment, etc.), professional services, other program expenses, and indirect costs/administration overhead. 15 out of 74 (20.27%) participants will remain in transitional housing and recovery support for 6 months, will attend group recovery support meetings on a weekly basis and maintain sobriety. 37 out of 74 (50%) participants will utilize assistance from WHM in receiving physical and/or mental healthcare services. 43 out of 86 (50%) veterans (annually), awaiting treatment in an A&D treatment facility, will exit supportive housing and enter treatment supported by the Department of Veterans Affairs. 5 out of 9 (55.55%) veterans will attend group recovery support meetings provided by WHM on a weekly basis and maintain sobriety. 12 out of 14 (85.71%) permanent supportive housing participants will remain in permanent supportive housing for at least one year, and will maintain stabilized sobriety and self-sustainability.
