Salvus Center's mission, founded in 2005, is to be a faith-based health center that seeks to reclaim the Biblical and historical commitment to care for those who are sick and in need, so they might experience wholeness, wellness, and healing. The agency is a partner of the Certified Application Counselor collaborative. The realization that 99% of its patients were desperately in need of dental care led to it opening a dental clinic in downtown Gallatin in fall 2012. Its outcomes for the year include: Recruiting ten dental hygienist volunteers who will provide teeth cleaning for patients, providing educational/counseling program for 50 obese or overweight patients of whom they anticipate 20 will adhere to recommendations, and developing a Marketing Plan based on information acquired as to how new patients learned about Salvus.
