Nurture the Next (formerly Prevent Child Abuse TN)

Founded in 1984, Nurture the Next’s mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect across all 95 counties in Tennessee. The touchstones of the organization include evidence-based, in-home programs to vulnerable families, crisis intervention, parent to parent empowerment, and community education about the power of prevention. Through advocacy, the agency seeks to improve health for Tennesseans by strengthening and expanding bipartisan legislative support for primary, evidence-based prevention policies, programs, and practices shown to prevent and mitigate ACEs. The organization will also strengthen and expand its capacity for grassroots mobilization and coalition-based advocacy that promotes and ensures use of primary, secondary, and evidence-based approaches to prevent and mitigate ACEs in children, teens, and families.
