Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee
Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee was established as a non-profit in 1984, with the mission of preventing the abuse and neglect of Tennessee's Children. The grant requested in this application will be used to fund staff time for in-home visitation, staff travel, evidence based curriculum, and all materials to be used in the home and group based setting. 50 out of 60 (83%) of families will receive a minimum of four weeks of intensive in home parenting services. 42 out of 50 (84%) will demonstrate increased knowledge in parenting behaviors as evidenced by a 15% increase in overall average score on the Adult Adolescent Parenting Inventory. 42 out of 50 (84%) will increase their overall score on the Protective Factors Survey. 25 out of 30 (87%) will be linked to and attend the majority of scheduled prenatal care appointments to decrease the likelihood of premature birth and complications related to unhealthy pregnancies. 24 out of 40 (60%) of the families in group based services through St. Paul's Lutheran Church will remain in the Nashville Rescue Mission Family Life Center program or obtain stable housing.
