Park Center’s mission is to empower people who have mental illness and substance use disorders to live and work in their communities. Park Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing person-centered recovery services for people who have mental illness and substance use disorders and those experiencing chronic homelessness. The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include: 55 out of 100 (55%) of persons with psychiatric disabilities will increase self-sufficiency by obtaining a job. 100 out of 180 (56%) of persons experiencing mental illness and homelessness or living in a facility (hospital, jail, prison) will be screened for SOAR (disability benefits). 75 out of 100 (75%) of persons experiencing mental illness and homelessness will receive an approval for SSI/SSDI benefits.
