 Founded in 2005, Nashville International Center for Empowerment (NICE) is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to empowering refugees and immigrants in Middle Tennessee through direct social services and educational programs. The grant requested in this application will be used to fund the salary and fringe benefits for the Wellness Program Coordinator.  101 out of 145 (70%) of the class participants will be able to maintain or lose inches from their waist during the program period. 101 out of 145 (70%) of the class participants will maintain or decrease their glucose level and/ or blood pressure during the program period. 101 out of the 145 (70%) of the class participants will report that they have not been newly diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes or obesity after 6 months of participation in the program.
