Since 1974, Mid-Cumberland Human Resource Agency has remained true to its mission: “To help people help themselves by providing knowledge and resources to improve the quality of life in the Mid-Cumberland Region. The Mid-Cumberland Elder Abuse Program (EAP) continues to provide essential services and care to some of the most vulnerable citizens of the Mid-Cumberland region in order to enable these individuals to safely maintain their long-earned and well-deserved independence at home for as long as possible. The funds requested in the application will support the acquisition of required match money in Davidson County to draw $200,000 in Federal funds providing 8,250 hours of direct care support. 65% of 100 clients served will state direct care support helps keep them safely living abuse free and independently at home. 60% of 100 clients served will show at least a one-point decrease in a loneliness survey on a scale of one to ten with ten being the highest level of loneliness.
