Mission Statement: Men of Valor is committed to winning men in prison and their families to Jesus Christ and discipling them on an ongoing basis. Its purpose is to equip them to reenter society as men of integrity - becoming givers to the community rather than takers. Principal services include one-on-one mentoring, Bible studies, part time employment with an emphasis in job training and placement services, life planning (budget/goals), housing assistance, and A&D programs. Men of Valor's goals for the upcoming year are to continue to serve increased caseload of men released from Charles Bass Correctional Institute and ongoing caseload of men at CCA's Metro Detention Center with aftercare/re-entry services. 2. To provide emotional, physical, practical, and spiritual tools to allow men released from prison to prosper as husbands, fathers, and productive members of the community. 3. To provide family services (through mentoring and practical support) in a caring fashion to help prevent the children of the men we serve from entering a cycle of violence, neglect, and incarceration.
