Kings Daughters Day Home
Since its establishment in 1965, the King's Daughters Child Development Center (KDCDC) has provided essential support for low-income families in the Nashville area by offering low-cost, high quality childcare. Their mission is to provide nurturing relationships in an engaging learning community for children and families. The grant requested in this application will be used to fund planning and facilitation of four quarterly three-hour Circle discussions with the administrative team and 12 monthly three-hour Circle discussions with all staff -- including compensation for two experienced Circle Keepers, overtime for 17 staff members (seven of whom will be new-hires), childcare for children of its staff, and refreshments. Outcomes include: 90% of staff members participating will agree or strongly agree with the statement, "We have good communication among the members of the KDCDC staff." 85% of staff members participating will agree or strongly agree with the statement, "There is trust and cohesion among the members of the KDCDC staff." 80% of staff participating will agree or strongly agree with the statement "I feel comfortable raising my concerns to management." It will also reduce its staff turnover rate to 13% in the next 24 months.
