Hope Clinic was founded in 1983 by a group of community leaders, pastors, priests, physicians, and volunteers, to meet the needs of women facing unplanned pregnancies in a safe and confidential environment. For 33 years, the clinic has continued that care for any woman of childbearing age, while expanding professional medical and counseling services through hiring Nurse Practitioners, therapists, and bilingual staff. Additionally, to meet the changing needs of the community, Hope Clinic for Women added prevention education for youth and parents, well-care visits, postpartum depression treatment, and all forms of pregnancy loss counseling (post abortion, miscarriage, adoption placement, stillbirth and infant death). The agency’s goals/outcomes for the year include: 100% (330) of pregnant clients will receive counseling on prenatal care and healthy pregnancy and medical consultation about pregnancy and their fetus (i.e. view heartbeat, features, movement). 75% (247 of 330) of pregnant clients will report feeling more informed about prenatal health.
