Domestic Violence Program
Domestic Violence Program was chartered in 1986 to provide emergency services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and elder abuse. The funds requested in the application will support a part-time transitional housing position, part time bi-lingual position, and a new transitional unit would be leased. The agency’s outcomes include: 60 of the 100 (60%) counseling and therapy clients will understand follow-up services with an emphasis on extended counseling services. Eleven families (75%) of those leaving transitional housing will also receive full services for an additional six months. The agency will continue to provide follow-up services such as assistance with day care, transportation, limited medications, safety planning or in-kind donations to over 120 previous clients of agency services. This is an increase of 13% over 106 former clients who received follow-up financial assistance last year.
