Campus for Human Development
Room In The Inn's Campus for Human Development has provided hospitality, hope and healing for the homeless for 28 years. Its mission is to provide programs that emphasize human development and recovery through education, self-help and work, centered in community and long-term support for those who call the streets of Nashville home. The Campus provides a loving community and a targeted array of programs for the homeless--serving 4,000 individuals each year and up to 400 participants daily, many of whom are chronically homeless. Its programs and services include: Room In The Inn, Day Center, Education Program, Workforce Development Program, Guest House (recuperative care for medically vulnerable homeless individuals), transitional housing for veterans and 38 affordable housing units. Its outcomes for the year include 725 of 2900 (25%) of individuals entering Guest House for social detox will remain for at least 72 hours and enter into pretreatment. 688 of 725 (95%) of individuals in pretreatment will be screened for alcohol and drug treatment needs. 172 of 688 (25%) of individuals in pretreatment will enter an inpatient or outpatient treatment program. 325 of 325 (100%) of individuals receiving medical respite care will be assessed to determine medical/social services needed including case management.
