The Avalon Center, located in Crossville,  is a domestic and sexual assault program serving five rural counties in TN. They have been in operation since 1984. The mission is to provide comprehensive support to adult and child victims of domestic violence and sexual assault; to promote community awareness and prevention through education; and to build and support a community culture that stands against  violence.  The grant requested will be used to fund two program facilitators and training materials for domestic violence intervention and prevention programming (Abuse Intervention for Men [AIM] and Break the Cycle). 82 participants our of 96 (85%) in Break the Cycle will not be re arrested for domestic or sexual violence in 12 months after completing the course.  30 out of 45 participants (67%) in AIM will complete the 27 week long program.  25 out of the 30 (83%) who complete the program will be not re-arrested in 12 months after completing the classes. Out of the 45 participants, 40 or (88%) will not be arrested while enrolled in the 27 week long program.
