Established in 2003, Aphesis House, Inc. (AHI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing transitional housing for homeless men, veterans, and male ex-offenders. AHI offers programs that assist populations that traditionally receive little or no assistance when returning to society from incarcerated settings -- ex-offenders and the homeless. The grant requested in this application will be used to fund a portion of the Salary and Benefits of one RAP Case Manager. 28 out of 40 resident clients (70%) will remain sober from drugs and alcohol, maintain stable employment and permanent housing for 1 year, which will raise their self-esteem and empower positive life changes, while reestablishing a positive familial and/or community support network, and remaining free from crime and/or incarceration for 1 year.
